The most common line in Nona's reviews is some version of she gave me exactly what I asked for. Long layers, blunt bobs, pixies, men's tapers, and first haircuts for kids who would rather be anywhere else.
Nona works with shears and razor and does not hurry through a cut. She starts by asking how you wear your hair on a normal day, then cuts for that, not for how it looks for the ten minutes after a blowout. Clients with difficult hair, cowlicks, very thick or very fine texture, and past bad cuts tend to find her and stay.
Men's cuts get the same attention: clean tapers, scissor work on top, and a finish that lasts more than a week. Add a beard trim if you want the whole thing tidied up in one visit.
Kids are welcome and Nona is known for being patient with them. There is a booster seat, an iPad to watch during the cut, and with a parent's okay, a toy and a treat at the end. Several reviews come from parents who bring all their children and their husband.
Because the salon is one chair and one client at a time, it is quiet, clean, and never crowded, which matters for nervous kids and for anyone who does not want to make small talk with three strangers.
What to expect
Women's cuts are $58 and run about 45 to 60 minutes with a blow-dry. Men's are $40 and take about 30 minutes. Kids are $35 and about 20 minutes.
Come in with an idea, a photo, or nothing at all. Nona will ask the right questions either way.

What age do you take kids from?
Any age. Nona has done plenty of first haircuts, and there is a booster seat, an iPad, and no rush.

I had a bad cut somewhere else. Can you fix it?
Usually. Uneven lengths and over-texturizing are common fixes. Nona will tell you what can be corrected now and what needs to grow.
